Project Process – From Analysis to Concept and finally Design
Initial Site Visit to the are around the UN Compound. Wandering around the area while trying to use our sensory experiences to give us a personal bodily understanding of the site.
More detailed site visit including interviews with people working in the area. Trying to get a sense of all the local actors.
Developing our Research Question
Brainstorming on on the concept that we have and fidning methods that might be used to explore these concepts.
Findings/ Observations. We went round and everybody had to come up with their own findings and observations. What did they learn from the research that they did not know beforehand.
Deciding the Design direction – what metaphor shall we use? Is it complexity or more like a logo?
Final Design Concept: “How to live in Geneva while avoiding the locals” – A map of two parts.
1st a propaganda map of international space
2nd documentation and analysis of our research
Making the map – pulling all the assets together on one computer to design the map
Final Design coming together on the computer
